Job Title: Youth Work Support Officer 
Location: Young Movers 39-41 Conisborough Rd, G34 9QN
Contract: 20 hrs (over a 35 hour working week)
Salary: £23,054.28 (pro-rata)
Probationary Period: 3 months
Accountability: Project Coordinator
MAIN DUTIES
- To plan, prepare and develop the YoMo Youth Empowerment programmes, Peer Education & YouthBank.
- To engage young people in the planning, delivery and evaluation of YoMo Youth Programmes.
- To work as part of a team and develop positive trusting relationships with young people.
- To make regular contact with young people in order to identify, assess, and meet their formal and informal educational needs, and to encourage higher self-expectations, resilience and skills.
- Support the personal and social development of young people through creative programmes.
GENERAL DUTIES
- To share responsibility with members of the youth work team in planning outings/trips, and devise relevant training and educational programmes for young people.
- To participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and one to one supervision sessions where appropriate.
- Assist with and undertake day to day administration to ensure the smooth running of services.
- Adhere to and implement all YoMo’s policies.
- To undertake any other appropriate tasks, as identified by the co-ordinator or management committee.
