** OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE **

Are you working with young people aged between 12-25 years old who are interested in volunteering in their local community?

YoMo are looking for volunteers from the North East and North West of Glasgow to get involved in their community to become active citizens, and have some lifelong learning opportunities. Young people can get involved in a variety of different projects that YoMo offers:

Peer Education: we will train volunteers to plan, develop and lead on programmes that YoMo delivers to our partner organisations. Peer Educators are supported in developing their skills in facilitation and work with other young people in an informal learning environment.

YouthBank: Young people can become Young Grant Makers where they will be involved in opportunities not normally open to them; handling decisions about money, having the power to make change and working alongside adults as equals.

Youth Health Champions:  working in partnership with the NHS, youth health champions is a role designed to promote health topics within the local community and to deliver training to local organisations. Young people will be involved in promoting health topics in their local community, and support the development of youth friendly health related training packs.

Every young person who joins as a YoMo volunteer will have the opportunity to go through an accredited Youth Achievement Award and an individual Personal Development Plan to help the young person reach their short and long term goals.
